By accessing or using the website located at danrosinski.com (the "Site"), operated by Lieutenant Dan for Chesapeake ("Campaign," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the Campaign. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Purpose of the Site

The Site is operated for political campaign purposes by Lieutenant Dan for Chesapeake, a political campaign committee organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and subject to the oversight of the Virginia Department of Elections (ELECT) and, where applicable, the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

The Site is intended to provide information about candidate Daniel Rosinski, accept lawful campaign contributions, and facilitate volunteer engagement. The Site is not a government website and does not represent the City of Chesapeake, the United States Navy, the Department of Defense, or any other governmental body.

3. Eligibility to Contribute

Campaign contributions through the Site are subject to applicable federal and Virginia state campaign finance laws. By making a contribution, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident alien.
  • The contribution is made from your own personal funds, not from the funds of another person or entity.
  • You are not a federal contractor.
  • You are at least 18 years of age, or contributing with the knowledge and consent of your parent or guardian using their funds.
  • The contribution does not exceed applicable legal limits under Virginia law and FEC regulations.

Contributions are processed through ActBlue, a third-party payment platform, and are subject to ActBlue's own terms and privacy policy. The Campaign is not responsible for the acts or omissions of ActBlue.

4. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Site to:

  • Make contributions on behalf of another person, corporation, labor union, foreign national, or federal contractor.
  • Engage in any unlawful activity, including violations of election law, campaign finance law, or the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (18 U.S.C. § 1030).
  • Transmit unsolicited commercial communications (spam) or harmful code.
  • Scrape, harvest, or collect personally identifiable information from the Site.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site or its systems.
  • Impersonate the Campaign, candidate, or any other person or entity.
  • Post or transmit content that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, or otherwise unlawful.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, audio, video, and software — is the property of Lieutenant Dan for Chesapeake or its licensors and is protected by applicable U.S. copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any content from the Site without the Campaign's prior written consent, except for personal, non-commercial use consistent with fair use principles under 17 U.S.C. § 107.

The name "Lieutenant Dan for Chesapeake," the candidate's name, campaign logos, and associated marks may not be used in any manner that implies endorsement or affiliation without express written permission.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE CAMPAIGN DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LIEUTENANT DAN FOR CHESAPEAKE, ITS OFFICERS, AGENTS, AND REPRESENTATIVES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Analytics & Security Services

The Site uses Google Analytics (Google LLC) to collect anonymized usage data — including pages visited, session duration, and general geographic location — to help us understand how visitors interact with the Site.
